This exclusive fishery benefits from really fantastic fishing from eight designated pegs. The lakes have a variety of depths ranging from 2ft to 10ft with a stream running in one end, and a dam at the other.

We are pleased to announce that the Top Lake has now been reopened after extensive weed and silt clearing. The Bottom Lake is also open as usual.

The top lake at Gyrn is not an easy water by any means, and provides a challenging day’s fishing. All tactics will work well at Gyrn in the right conditions, so bring plenty of bait. Please call 01745 561 672 beforehand for current favoured methods and lake reports.

The Top Lake

To ensure no overcrowding the proprietors try to confine the fishing to not more than 8 anglers on any one day. Fishing is allowed dawn till dusk on a day ticket, but 24 hours and longer stays are also available.

Pegs must be pre-booked. Permit money will be collected on the bank on the day

Day Permit: £18 (6.30am – 9.00pm)

24 Hour Permit: £25

The Bottom Lake

Peg prices for the bottom lake are £15 per day, 6.30am – 9pm. There is also a £7.50 ticket available, from 2pm – 9pm. This is available on the bottom lake only.

For any questions or to book a peg please contact John on 07765076582.

The rules of fishing are given on the permit but no dogs or children please, unless the latter are fishing and have purchased a permit. The spouse of the angler is welcome. Not more than 3 rods per angler and please use barbless hooks.

No cars allowed in the areas of the lakes. Please park your vehicle in Glan yr Afon Lodge car park.

Accommodation & Refreshment

The Red Lion Inn, Llanasa or White Lion Inn, Glan yr Afon are both within easy walking distance of the lakes and provide both excellent food and refreshments.
